The Edmunds Law Firm was notified of a favorable security clearance determination on Nov. 7, 2011. In this hearing, the government claimed that the applicant was not eligible for a national security clearance. The government based its denial on concerns that the applicant drinks too much alcohol and had four alcohol-related arrests in the past.
The Edmunds Law Firm argued on behalf of the applicant and proved to the government that the applicant was not only willing to stop drinking, but was a reliable and trustworthy person. The firm used written and oral arguments and documentary evidence to support its argument.
The hearing was held on March 11, 2011 before the Defense of Hearings and Appeals in Santa Barbara, California.
